* The above camshafts are sold as a pair for each side, either Inlet or Exhaust.
* Cams with cam lift greater than 11mm will require the valve springs to be upgraded as well.
* Cams with cam lift greater than 11mm will require valve recession on the standard pistons as well.
* Valve timing has already been adjusted, compatible with (eVTC) system.
* Not compatible with engine models with variable valve timing (eVTC) on the exhaust side.
(Also not compatible with the Z33 Anniversary edition from Sept 2005 onwards).


CAUTION!

When running camshafts with cam lifts greater than 11.3mm on the intake(IN) side, please take care with the specific engine type you are applying the product to due to possible wear or interference from caused due to the valve springs and/or the pistons (if running the standard pistons without valve recession). You may have to adjust the timing to suit the application. Please observe all apsects when installing the camshafts.
Example: When using the standard head and standard piston with the standard eVTC setup, approx 1mm of valve recession is required for adequate clearance.

In 4-cycle engine, rotation of camshaft that is driven by crankshaft through belt, gear, or chain operates intake and exhaust valves as the engine runs.

●Securing effective area of the valve ●Reduce friction and noise ●Improve drivability ●Understanding characteristic difference among engine types ●Improve durability and strength ●Easier installation
 When opening intake valve, high acceleration G※1 is required for camshaft to send as much as mixture to the cylinder in shortest time. On the other hand, when it closing valve, valve seat and valve spring will be damaged if acceleration G is too high. Asymmetrical profile must be given to the camshaftユs intake and exhaust valve to fill the two contrary demands; secure wide duration and high lift but prevent valve system from shock and damage, at one time.
Generally, engine tuning is to modify the torque characteristic of engine by changing cam duration timing and height of the cam lift, so as to gaining maximum torque and horse power. However, when tuning the engine strictly, it should be carried out with the idea of securing effective area of the valve not only by duration timing and height of the cam lift, but also by through improvement of its intake efficiency. High valve lift allows huge amount of air to flow in, yet it mechanically damages the system and gains friction loss on the other hand. Also, wide cam duration will deriver big power at high RPM, but it gives rough engine character at low RPM too. We worked on to get an ideal well-balanced profile of camshaft and succeeded to give it 1.3 to 1.5 times more effective area than regular camshaft.
