If you are changing pads on your C6 Z06, it's highly recommended you replace the caliper pins. GM recommends replacing these pins every time you do a brake job on a C6 Z06. The brake pad backing plate wears the ends of the pins and causes excessive play. The pins will keep the pads centered in the backing plate and reduce the heel and toe effect on the pad.
